Dissipation 2

“Dissipation”
Elements:
Three blocks of hardwood are connected as a vertical plant (stem and two leaves); the blocks are multi-sided and irregularly shaped as polyhedrons and prisms. The tips of the side blocks (leaves) are perforated with holes. The base is a glossy finished black rectangular base.
Narrative:
This is a meditation on impermanence and the passage of time. It captures the inevitable tipping point where form begins to surrender to nothingness. Regardless of how solid we build our structures, there is a persistent, quiet process that hollows things out, transforming matter into energy, space, and dying memory.
