“Containment”
Elements:
A red ball, covered imperfectly by clear sea glass, emits flames made of copper ribbons. The ball rests on a polished granite base.
Narrative:
The cracked red ball of fire is all that we presently know; the granite base is a "black box,” representing all that there is to be known. The annihilating flames continuously reconcile our state-of-the-art knowledge.
